Hard Drive
Hard Disk Drive (HDD) is a PC component that stores all your data. It houses the hard disk where all the information i.e. files, folders, pictures, photographs etc. are physically located. HDD’s have different sizes and capacities. Standard hard drive is a size of a humans hand and it can even hold over 1000GB (1TB) of data. If not for the hard disk drive all of our information on a PC would not exist strictly because there would be no device that would actually store the information, as computer on its own doesn't act as a storage device, for this purposes you have an external component. However, the main limitation of hard drive is that it is the slowest part. Due to the limited capacity it may slow down your PC if it fills up. This can affect how quickly images are loaded on a computer as well as applictions e.g. Adobe Photoshop.
Graphics Card
Graphics Card is one of the primary components of a computer, it is also known as video card, it is a piece of hardware installed in a computer that is responsible for rendering the image on the computer’s monitor or display screen. There are multiple types of video cards that offer different price range. The more expensive the card then the most performance you will get from it meaning it can run very graphically demanding applications e.g. games, video and image editing software etc. High performance graphics cards allow to view pictures and images in high resolution which makes the image sharper and presents greater details. This especially aids graphics designers in their work.
Processor
Without processor (CPU) computer would not work as it basically plays a role of a brain. It comes in different sizes, shapes and performance rates. None of the processors are the same; they come with different speeds, manufacturers who want to make their product as innovative as possible. Constant technological race in the CPU industry has driven us to the point where the CPU’s speed is so large that it makes such calculations that it possible for the human to create a computerized machine that acts as a substitute to some of the work that human does e.g. at car factories where machines take full control over production.
However, high performance CPU is also needed for editing digital graphics. Just like graphics card, CPU also has to come with big power in order to manage the software i.e. Adobe Photoshop in which it manipulates and renders high quality graphics that require large amounts of computing power.
Random Access Memory (RAM)
RAM also known as Random Access memory provides space for your computer to read and write data to be accessed by the processor. The more RAM computer has the faster it is going to be because by adding more RAM you reduce the number of times your CPU (Central Processing Unit) must read data from your hard disk and therefore this usually allows your computer to work considerably faster. There are many types of RAM, just like in the case of a processor in order for your graphics software to function properly your computers hardware has to be powerful to handle it.
