iPad Mini
The iPad Mini is a computer tablet designed by a company called Apple. It’s previous version was the popular iPad. It has a 7.9inch display and it comes with a lot of great applications. The applications are divided into groups, there are approximately 275,000 applications for the user ready to download. The iPad Mini has advanced Wi-Fi which is twice as fast as in any previous version of iPad’s. It allows the access to fast mobile data networks around the world. The extraordinary 5 megapixels video camera allows the user to record in 1080p quality; this is something that not many portable devices can do in today’s world.
There are different forms of Holographic Displays; some are closed off with glass and through others you may even put your hand through and manipulate with the image itself. The newest and most advanced Holographic Display today is Microsoft's Vermeer which is in it's early prototype stage. The image is 360 degrees so it can be viewed from any angle as if a real object, except the image has no weight. When finished and publicly available, this will enable graphical designers to display their 3D models in a form of a hologram. Also, using the interactivity, it can enable the user to touch the hologram and interact with it as if the image existed in a physical world.
The video below presents how Microsoft Vermeer Holographic Display works.
3D Printing
3D printing will allow the user to print 3 dimensional replicas of a design. When performing a print, the printer will read the design and lay down layers in order to build the object. These layers are then joined together or fused to create the final object. This advancement in printing technology will allow users such as architects to be able to show their clients exactly what their house or building will look like as they will be able to print any design or shape as a 3D object.
